Gennady Kupisok

Dr. Gennady Kupisok is a native of St. Petersburg, Russia where he graduated from Leningrad State Conservatory majoring in clarinet. He completed doctorate studies in musical performance at Gnesin State Pedagogical Institute in Moscow, Russia’s most prestigious educational institution for musicians. Gennady Kupisok holds a PhD. in Education from Leningrad State Art institute.

Gennady Kupisok was the first prizewinner of the Woodwind Competition in Leningrad in 1975 and performed extensively as soloist in Russia, Eastern Europe, and the US – most notably in Chicago, Philadelphia and New York’s Carnegie and Weill Recital Halls.

Along with his extensive career as a performer, Dr. Kupisok has always enjoyed teaching. He believes in early introduction of children to the world of music and guides their musical development from young age to adulthood. Many of his students have moved on to become acclaimed professional musicians.

Gennady Kupisok currently resides in New York where he performs and teaches throughout the Tri-State area.
